I am glad to say that I have finally found a way to get the old Virtual Intelligence Matrix programs running on Windows 7+. The programs used to have an option for people to register the software, but I am now posting the fully unlocked versions, given the age of the code and all the support received over the years (thank you). There is a donate button now on the download page, so if you would like to contribute, it would still be much appreciated.

Please note, I wrote these programs almost 20 years ago! 3D graphics on a home PC was just beginning, and it was the original Tomb Raider era, so they seem primitive now but back then it was quite amazing to have this running on your own computer. But the part that might transcend the technology is the behavior of the VIM, as it is not scripted, aside from the technical movements like walking and sitting. Rather, what the VIM does is driven by a model of creativity and emotional response, as is the locations the VIM choses to plant flowers.

There used to be forums to discuss and ask questions, but with the constant spam and hack attempts, it is too much overhead to maintain these days to open it up for membership or comments. But I do hope you enjoy seeing how things were progressing decades ago, and if you are one of the hundreds of thousands of people who ran the screen saver, you might enjoy the nostalgia. Cheers.
