Site News : Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year from Quantum Flux!

It always surprises me to count up the years that the VIM has been around; 2008 will mark 9 years of public releases. I’m always glad to see Impress still hosts this page, one of the first reviews of VIM30c. And to see all the names of people on the forums that were also there right from the start. Anyway this Christmas I thought I'd finally get VIMind out there. It's up on the downloads page now, and there is a registered version, but all you have to do is enter your code from any other Quantum Flux program that you've registered and it should work.

So where is Quantum Flux going now? Well, I want to step up the number of news articles, I like having the site here for people to discuss current ideas in the realm of machine intelligence and such. As far as my coding, I’m not sure really. I’m thinking it may be time for a completely new direction. It’s always been the “voodoo” aspects of the code that I’ve found most interesting (remember the VIM going into “the void”). Controlling a virtual sphere with your mind is pretty good, but maybe this can go even further...

Anyway best to all, and thanks for stopping by QFlux and supporting the projects.

Re: Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year from Quantum Flux!
I was pleasantly surprised to find QFlux again. I have been running VIM1.0EN for a couple of years now on and off. The approach to AI that Qflux is using is exciting to me. I am espeically interested in VI-Mind as it seems to be tying into some of the quantum conscious model bio-metaphor Nnet AI that I would like to dig deeper in. As an electronics technican of many electronic things, I have always felt that they were somehow in tune with people, the concepts explored in VI-Mind seem to provide an interesting avenue for exploring that idea.

At any rate , it is good to hear some new news.

Have Fun and Enjoy.
